Aphronics We have now worked a few wells with MISWACO's and MASI Technology's APHRONics system. This system is unique in that it uses bubbles (Aphrons) to bridge formation fractures and porosity. There is no wall cake formed in the borehole. Cleanup is a snap. We have gained much experience in handling this fluid. This fluid is very viscous and demands good mixing equipment. It also requires special testing equipment. Below are a few close-up photos of the APHRON fluid.
We have now used this fluid in natural gas storage development projects. We have drilled exploratory shale wells with low frac gradients. And we are now working with this fluid in coal bed methane projects. |
