Recovery of Caved Wells
North East Mud Services Company has shown time and time again that a hole can be saved if "Pencil Cave"-or that "heaving red rock" has caved in. Our mud engineers know just what to do to regain control of an unstable shale formation.

Foam and Under-balanced Drilling
Since air-drilling in the Northeast is the preferred method of drilling versus fluid-drilling, the people at NEMSco have developed recipes for foam-drilling and stiff-foam drilling applications. These proven formulas have allowed operators to go into and to develop areas that were otherwise impossible to drill economically.

Special Fluids for Problematic Formations
With the discovery of large reserves of natural gas in New York, increased drilling depths have revealed difficult drilling problems with troublesome formations. The unstable Vernon Shale formation in central New York has given operators many problems over the past several years. North East Mud Services Company has developed an extraordinary drilling fluid that has outstanding inhibitive characteristics.

And now with the increasing interest in the Marcellus shale, North East Mud Services Company is there to provide fluid services to the operator. We have introduced the new Ultra Drill system to the horizontal drilling operations. We have had great success in drilling laterals to 4,000'. Ultra Drill is helping to keep the hole open long enough to run the production casing.

New Fluid Technology
A new system that has recently become available is called Ultra Drill. With its excellent inhibitive characteristics, we have managed to drill horizontal Marcellus shale horizontal wells in record time. The system has the inhibitive characteristics of an oil-based mud system without the environmental headaches. We have had great success with this new technology.
